Thanks for that suggestion. I remember Amarok from other linux distros. I am just wondering, will Amarok work with Linpus? I'm thinking kde vs. xfce here. Will there be any issues?

No, there are no problems in running a mixture of apps from different desktops environments. In fact you are already running a KDE applet- kpowersave.

I did a sudo yum install for the Amarok tar through fedora 8 rep. Installation went fine, but now I can't find the Amarok player anywhere. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Enable the real XFCE menus:

I already have enabled the extended xfce menu. That's my problem. No Amarok in sight, not even with the command "amarok &". I must have done something wrong, I guess.

I just checked the Fedora package, Amarok is installed to /usr/bin. Are you sure it is installed? What is the output of:

rpm -qi amarok

?

I like using songbird for playing music. I am using puppy linux ona a aao 120 gig hd, 1 mg ram. I have puppy linux and windows xp and use songbird on both.
