Hi
My laptop was working fine, as far as I know no updates were conducted, but suddenly started working strange
When I press the power on button, the little white LED comes on, but nothing seems to happen. It will sit there for 60-90 seconds or so (never timed it) appearing to do nothing, then the Asus logo will appear and it will start and appear to function normally.
If it is closed down or reset, when re-starting, it again goes through the long boot time.
Reading online it would seem to indicate that it is doing a memory boot check / configure, but I changed nothing (that I am aware of doing) to make it do this for every boot.
I have been in the BIOS and ensured fast boot is enabled, also tried disabling (with reboot) and re-enabling but no difference.
I have updated, I believe, the BIOS to the latest version, as well as the windows BIOS.
I have also tried the ASUS EC reset.
Nothing I so appears to make any difference to the delay on start up.
Any help or advice is gratefully received.
