xp on external hard disk

    can someone help me please i have a 80 gb seagate external harddrive which i would like to install windows on i have a windows cd from my previous computer, i am not very good with linux but would like to keep it to learn is this possible, i have read some guide on google but they are to install windows on its own PLEASE HELP

    What kind of computer do you have that you want to connect the external drive to and what OS is that computer running? Have you ever installed XP on a computer before?

    i have an aspire one a110 8gb with linpus, i havent put windows on anything before
