    Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum, but using AAO-110bb for some time now, and very satisfied with it. Mine is SSD 8+8 GB XP Home version with 1GB RAM. I think AAO is excellent piece of equipment, very useful and handy!!

Everything works OK except for wireless led above the switch. I am not sure if this is due to drivers (7.6.0.260 works OK, wireless connection never dropped off, as other users reported), or some hardware issue.

I can not find any driver setting that adresses this. I saw that Linux versions also had this problem, but can not find anything on XP version.

I am not sure that change of drivers would make any change, or maybe installing Atheros client utility program?

Any ideas how to make it work?

try to pull and hold the switch to the right for a few seconds.
Does your wi-fi card pick up wireless connection when the led is off?

No, it does not make any difference to hold the switch pressed longer.

And switch itself works fine, it toggles wireless on and off with big green message at the bottom of the scrreen. And when it is on wireless works fine but the only indication is wireless icon in the tray, no LED.

Can somebody who has LEDs working under XP post their version of the driver?

Mine is a factory install of XP:

    Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter

    Driver Provider: Atheros
    Driver Date: 5/20/2008
    Driver Version: 7.6.0.224

    Hope that helps!

I have WinXP prof. installed and the led is working.

I'm using version 7.6.1.149, dd 9-18-2008 of Atheros AR5007EG, so much newer
This driver can be downloaded from Acer

Probably it's useful to check the other drivers too, like screen, sound, chipset, touchpad, webcam, Lan, cardreader etc. :)

I installed 7.6.1.149 driver with bundled Atheros client utility and LED started to work!!

I think it was more due to that utility than driver itself, but most important is that it works OK now.

    Thanks to everybody for help!!
