Windows CE advice

OK, I have my hands on a very old Windows CE laptop: old enough that it has no onboard storage. I've been playing (you may cringe) and managed to get it storing variables and files effectively in memory as well as on the SD card.

Does anyone still use WinCE, and if so do you know where I can find some reliable binaries and programs for it. I'm seeing whether or not I can persuade this thing to run programs from the SD card or USB (currently it has a version of softmaker office running from the SDcard, and that's about it). I'd rather not risk virusing my actual PC downloading stuff from unknown sources just because I am playing with an ancient laptop.

And yes, I expect doing anything with this to take a lot of work. I just want to see what I can make it do.
