So the dust has settled and it has been around five months since the release of Windows 8. A lot of annoyances have been fixed and the OS is much better. Have these changes been enough to change your mind about Windows 8 and will anyone here be switching soon ?

It is certainly better than it used to be, but I'm typing this from a Windows 7 computer... so read in to that what you will ;).

I've got Windows 8.1 on my Surface Pro and it really suits a touch screen device, no complaints there. On a desktop PC or non-touchscreen laptop, I'd still prefer Windows 7 I think.

I have Windows 8 on my laptop and Windows 7 on my desktop. I definitely prefer Windows 7! I think they tried to do too much with Windows 8 -- and in my opinion, at least, I think they failed miserably.
