Wifi antenna booster setup

    I am in Mexico in a marina with poor wifi connection. I connected a Realtec external antenna booster. I now get a strong antenna signal but I cannot connect to the internet with that antenna. I tried to disable the internal antenna but still does not work. It keeps trying to renew my IP address and then send an error message: cannot connect.
    What do I have to do to switch to the new antenna.
