which laptop should i go for?

1. i7 5t generation 5500u 2.4 ghz upto 3.1, 8gb DDR3L RAM, GT 840m 2gb graphics ,

2. i5 5th generation 5200U 2.2ghZ UPTO 2.7, 8GB DDR3 RAM, AMD RAEDON R7 M265 (2GB) GRAPHICS


BOTH ARE DELL PLUS I HAVE EXTRA 4GB RAM TO EXTEND LAPTOP CAPACITY TO 12GB RAM.

Nvidia's GT 840M performs slightly better than the AMD Radeon R7 M265. The Radeon M275 peformance is in par with the Nvidia 830M which is of course placed below the 840M. But to make it clear, the 840M will perform significantly better combined with i7 than the Radeon M265 combined with the i5.

I will definitely go with the 1st choice.

 

I'd also say go with the first choice. GT 840M is a decent card for laptop gaming, although you shouldn't expect ultra high 1080p gaming with 40 FPS with it. It will run most latest games on low settings fairly though. As for the CPU, the i7 is vastly superior and better for the long run. I assume budget isn't a concern for you since you didn't mention it (because the i7 is definitely more expensive).
