I would like to know the answer to this also. I'm currently looking at buying a One (and still saving my pennies). The Wikipedia page for AAO seems to say that only the 160G hdd model comes with the 1.3mpxl webcam. Does anybody know if this is accurate? I was going to get the 120G model, on sale at Staples, but if it only has 0.3 mpxl I might rethink that.

My 120GB HDD One has the 0.3 Megapixel camera fitted and I am really pleased with the results. Seems very good in low light too :)

Unless you need to take high quality pics, I think it does the job just fine :)

Is there a way of checking what kind of MP webcam you have? Or is it just based on the model type?

How do you know you have the 0.3 mpxl ,stepppy? Glad to hear that the 0.3 mpxl performs so well since this probably means it would be good enough for me. Acer has so many configurations it's hard to know what you've got.

all current aa1's have a 0.3mp camera. none of them have 1.3mp cameras.

take a picture using the cam and view the image properties (not files properties) using your favorite photo viewer.

Mine has a build date of 08/08, so I know from that it is only a 0.3 mp cam

If you go into John Lewis or PC World try it for yourself. I took mine to work and took some pics in the office and they came out pretty good. It is a web cam after all, so you really dont need great quality. I think the best thing a web cam needs is to be able to cope with low light, and it does that very well :)

To be perfectly honest, 0.3mp is more than adequate for general use - having 1.3mp won't make that much of a difference.

How can you tell? I also have the 160 GB, 6 cell, xp but I'm beginning to think Acer has thousands of confusing configurations. Can you tell by who made the CCDI camera when in control panel? Which CCDI manuf had 0.3 and 1.3 mpxl?
