what drawing pen would work with this laptop

    hi just bought a dell latitude e7450 it has a touchscreen my daughter has a pen that works on her phone but it doesint work on the laptop there are so many options but through some googling i think it depends if the screen is passive or capacitive i am no expert here the old graphic design never floated my boat but does anyone know how i can determine if the laptop screen is passive or capacitive and what pen/pens would work as from some googling i think thank my be the problem laptop is running ubuntu and works fine with my finger but not the pen so i need to sort one b4 the 25th of dec any help would be great thanks
