What distro`s are you using on your D250

    Theres the question,,Im looking for a distro that has little if any tweaking that will install on my Aspire One D250

    Ubuntu and its siblings dont have etho drivers working,,Fedora wont let me install threw live usb or CD for some reason i keep getting an install error,,,Right now i have Crunchbang Linux on there and i Love this distro but cant get the etho to work at all on it,,,So my question is,,What works on this model,,and what did you have to do basicly to get it up and running.

    Try Mandriva 2009.1 spring Gnome.

    Primary is still XP Home, running OpenSolaris 2009.06, every thing up bar the LAN, and this can be compiled. Will need to tweak power management as it has the CPU running hotter, runs impresively well on D250 with N280 CPU, even with desktop enhancements turned on

    Gentoo + LXDE + crossover office + crossover games, everything compiled and optimized for Atom :mrgreen:

    Fedora 11, installed from external DVD. Upgraded to 2GB ram. Still have WinXP installed as it is used to run automotive diagnostic software via bluetooth/usb link. :)

    I'm running Ubuntu. Getting eth1 to work is easy. I wrote a how to for the https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOneAOD250 after getting frustrated searching through outdated info, and info not relevant to the AOD250. Just copy and paste a few lines of code and it will work.

    Gentoo is my distro of choice. I'm going to look into that. How bad are the build times? Can cross compile and distcc be used?
