What could this black mark be on my laptop lid?

    I purchased a new HP laptop not so long ago, i just recently discovered this black mark i cannot remove on my silver laptop lid, what could it possibly be and how did it get there? 18337297_410047312713637_1297193804_n.jpg

    Welcome to the laptop forums site

    It's more likely that the silver spray has not taken at this point,
    the lid was black then painted over silver.

    Thank you ever so much for replying, is it my fault? Like i haven't dropped/smashed/struck the laptop for this to happen.
