what can I disable on my "startup" on windows 7?

    I bought an Acer laptop and I want to speed up the boot up process. What can I disable on the startup (in msconfig) that won't harm my computer. I notice all these Acer applications. Is it all bloat ware?

    Normally all the Acer stuff is superfluous, certainly at startup. You know the programs you regulary use & would prefer to leave in your startup. Toggle (uncheck) the ones you think are 'extra' & see if there's any effect on your boot time, can always turn them back on if you REALLY needed them.
