Webcam not working with Skype!!!

    Hi guys

    I just can't get my webcam to work with skype...in the options menu the acer crystal eye webcam is shown but no video just a black screen!!! but when i use the crystal eye software the video works fine....I've updated/reinstalled the drivers etc...but no help...pls pls help me out!!! Skype is the only way i can see my family....

    and yeah i tried testing the webcam on yahoo messenger -- same problem - no video and just a black screen!!!!

    OS: Vista (lited)
    Skype Version: 3.8

    may I ask what vista driver for webcam are you using?

    That's cool mate I got it to work...disabled the device uninstalled all atheros programs then downloaded the latest driver installed....Didn't install the atheros programs though...well i don't need them anyway....
