    I'm curious if anyone else has this problem, my webcam seems to be working in Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty beta, but the colors are way off. It almost looks like a negative. Here's a sample shot taken in normal indoor lighting. I do know my webcam worked in linpus before I switched to ubuntu, which was about a week ago.

    Is this a known problem, is anyone else having the same problem I am?

    I have the 8.9" aspire one with 8gb ssd and 512mb ram

    I have the same model/version. Still have not figured out what the heck is wrong.

    user@foo:~$ dmesg | grep -i uvc
    [ 6.942226] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Acer Crystal Eye webcam (064e:d101)
    [ 6.993365] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo

    then doing

    $ luvcview -f yuv

    gives me video, but the colours are all screwed up like above. The camera is definitely working, I see myself, but it's like i'm on acid or something.

    Hearing that someone else is experiencing this at least reassures me that my camera is probably not broken. Has anyone figured out a fix for this? I've gone through Ubuntu's aspireone wiki page, tried everything mentioned there. Apparently it works out of the box with Jaunty, but in my case that is not so.

    Help!
