Volume adjust

Warm greetings from a new member and owner of an Aspire one.
How do you alter the speaker volume.
I have tried the buttons on the keyboard but the volume stays the same.

The arrow keys have a volume icon onthem in blue letters (I guess it could be different colors) what that is, is an FN option, like holding shift. The bottom left of the keyboard will have a key that says "Fn", hold the Fnkey and hit volume up or down to adjust the volume.

It's the same with other keys with Fn options, like brightness and such (don't even know what most the keys do, but I got the brightness and volume which was most important LOL ) Hope that helps you.

i just bought a new acer. everything is fine but when i use the arrows to change volume the pop up volume icon stays on screen. how do i disable it??
