Video Lag Netbook

    Hi All,
    I am new to this forum, so I apologise if I don,t use the correct terminology.
    I haqve a Acer aspire one 751 netbook with 1gb Ram and 250GB Hard Drive. Running Vista Home. The comp is fine, however there is terrible video lag on Windows media player and BBCIplayer.
    Are there any fixes/downloads that will cure this or is it incureable?

    Any help would be greatley appreciated.

    Try - Right-click on the Speaker icon in the system tray, select Playback Devices, right-click Speakers in that new dialog, go to Properties, then go to Enhancements - choose "Disable All Enhancements" or "Disable All Sound Effects". This helped in my case. Also make sure you have the latest sound drivers from the Acer site.

    I have tried the downloads and the settings, but still got the video lag.
    Anyone got any other suggestions?
