has anyone managed to get any video editing software running on the linpus aspire one. ive found one listed in the software manager, but when i try to add it i get a big list of unresolved dependancies. and ive been trying to install avidemux for hours and getting nowhere (need cmake 2.6, got cmake 2.4 but cant update it) is there any free programs that will work and are easy to install ? thanks

Probably not on Linpus   Sorry, but I'm serious.
Avidemux in available, precompiled, for Fedora (from rpmfusion http://rpmfusion.org/) and Ubuntu (universe). Have you considered switching distros?
