Very SLOW internet on WiFi when using Battery

    When using the battery no AC power cord the device is really slow on the internet lagging for minutes on the "opening page" even when trying to open basic sights like google.com.

    Can someone help, I re installed the Wifi driver from this site with no help.

    You got XP or Linpus?

    I know on XP, you go to device manager (Window Key + Pause/Break > Device Manager) then go to Network Adapters then open the properties for the Atheros wireless adapter.


    Then click on the Advanced Tab, select Power Save Mode and from there you can either set Maximum (Meaning maximum power saving thus slower wifi), Normal and Off (meaning full speed wifi but eats your battery).

    Some claim not much difference from setting it off, but I've noticed a decrease of about 15 minutes of battery.
