I have an AOA150-1049 for sale, I JUST bought it, to upgrade from my 1570, it barely even has any fingerprints on it yet.. I purchased it, and the same day, had a bit of a financial fall out, and need to sell it. (I can even provide a copy of the original receipt for you if you like, but NO you cannot return it and get my money back)

I'm also including a 1 gig memory chip for it (I can install it, or just send it, if you'd like 'the seal unbroken' and for you to install it yourself, I've taken apart, upgraded, and repaired quite a few of these though, so either way is fine for me) AND a copy of the aspire one technical service manual (don't know if I'm supposed to give it out, but I am)

the OS system is practically untouched, it will start up to the default oobe (out of box experience) config screen

the battery is the larger 6 cell, will come fully charged, I've been testing it in my other machine, and using it for like 2 days, on and off, I never needed to charge it! max battery life is sooo nice!

the display is SUPER bright, some of the brief times I have used it, have been at night, and if ya ask me, even at the lowest brightness setting, it's still too bright)

if you have any questions about it, I'll be more than happy to answer them asap.

I'd like to get $400 (or more would be niiice?) for it :D but I'm taking REASONABLE offers (if you write saying something like 'I'll give ya $200 for it", I will block you, and put you on the montgomery ward mailing list..)

I assume you can just send me messages through here? still kind of new, been lurking for a bit, this is my first actual post.

    Thanks!

reading from your screen description, it sounds like you have the flicker screen. if your screen brightness doesnt go down signficantly in the lower 5 slots of brightness setting under the new bios.

Sorry, I realize that makes it sound as if I'm considering it. I just meant that if you are in NYC, it might be helpful to post that, as there's a reasonable chance that someone in the city might be looking.

no, it's upstate NY, I'm actually closer to canada, than I am to NYC it's nowhere close to cow country (that's a few miles away) and this is still 'a city that never sleeps' but it does take the occasional nap.

Nope. $350 for the 120gb 3-cell. The 6-cell battery with the 160gb hd goes for $399.

Above $300, I would rather buy it from local shop. Selling at $300 here for the SSD version+8gb SD in the expansion slot with 1 gb ram. ;)

How about $270? ...considering the risk involved and trouble in case the machine fail and there is no shop to return it to for immediate replacement under warranty?

well this was the XP with 160Gig HDD version, which obviously is worth more, but it's been sold, so, for the time being, there's nothing available..

I'm doing what I can do change that.. but nothing right now..

I'm working on a source where I can get them less expensive for resale, but for right now, I'm not selling any more.
