hello all well my question is quite easy, I saw on the forum is that if it was possible to install 2 GB of ram in the AAO 110, well I think we should desoldering internal modules and install a specific type of ram! .. .
good question. It may take some of these modules and connected to the video card to consume this ram for video?
and if I can specify exactly which ram module is to put the 2 gigs!

Just like in the early days of desktops with the older technology, the northbridge and southbridge chip-sets on the motherboard itself will only support a certain amount of RAM. In the early days, it was 80 megs and that was all! Put in more and you either got a slower running machine, or not running at all. The Aspire Ones max out at a total of 1.5 gigs due to the soldered on 512 on the mobo. The chip-sets will allow 2 gigs but the RAM module soldered on prevents that as it would total 2.5 gigs. I have researched the new 10" screen models and I am pissed that now there is a small door on the bottom of the units making RAM addition a snap. What the hell were they thinking when they made it VERY difficult, complete disassembly required, to do it in the 8.9" models?
