Upgrading RAM

    The best you can do is installing a 1gb upgrade because the Acer can only have 1.5gb total. Then you still have to tear apart the netbook to install it. You have a good chance of bricking the entire unit.

    I have yet to read any where that this so called upgrade is worth the cost and hassle.

    That is on the 8.9" i have the 10.1" so its very easy to install new ram, with the 10.1" you can max it out at 2gb. I think you misunderstood the question because i don't have the 8.9", But i may be wrong. Let me know.

    You should have no problems with that RAM stick. I upgraded my AOD150 with the same type but of other brand. BTW have a look at http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=73 where you can find information about RAM upgrades. All you have to do is search a little.
