    Ola folks! :)

So I just got my hands on a new Asus M509DA notebook (system info. attached). And it came with 4GB onboard with 4GB RAM (pic. attached) in an upgradeable slot. I thought I could upgrade it to 20GB easy when WIn10 told me the maximum I could upgrade to was 32GB of RAM.

    I bought & plugged in a SODIMM Pc4-19200 2400mhz 16GB stick....and Win10 was happy with it & displayed 20GB of RAM. :)

Well, I rebooted & that's when the notebook would not post . I checked BIOS & it only said 4GB (onboard) RAM. So, BIOS was basically failing to detect the 16GB stick:( . I popped the 4GB stock SODIMM back and BIOS showed 8GB RAM.

I know I can get 12GB (8GB upgraded with 4GB onboard) on this notebook, but is there anyway I can upgrade to 20GB RAM? I've already updated my BIOS from Asus.

Do you think I would fare better with 16GB of Pc4-17000 2133mhz instead?

    Thank you guys.
