    Hello y'all !

I've been wondering for a while, since it became a new trend for manufacturers to freakin solder their RAM and only proposing up to 16Gb (I mean c'mon... Selling only 8Gb to consumers and proposing only 16gb option for "Pros" in 2021 is a joke)...

So, is it possible to simply unsolder these Ultra-Portable Laptop's RAM from their Logic Board, buying a compatible 32 or 64Gb (if supported) similar RAM chip, and upgrading / soldering it?

I'm talking about Ultra-Portable range like HP Specte X360 13" / Dell XPS 13" or even the Intel-based Apple Macbook Air (Early 2020) for instance.

Is it even possible? Has anybody done it succesfully (not to mention sourcing / finding the compatible RAM chip carrying 32 or more Gb) ?

Ps: I did a search prior to posting wirhout any luck, except for finding a soldering iron that could match / be thin enough for this kind of work, still wondering which soldering metal it requires)
