Ubuntu 10.10 Fan Problem

    I have just installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my AAO A110 and I have the noisy fan problem.

    I have tried the solution given for 10.04 in this thread but it does not work

    It is clearly having some effect as the fan keeps cycling on and off instead of switching on until the max temperature is reached. Eventually as the computer warms up, the fan remains on permanently but at reduced speed. Clearly there is something needs modifying in one of the parameters, but I'm not sure which.

    Anyone any ideas?
