Touchpad stopped working

    My touchpad has just stopped working. Not sure why. I've been installing a few things like rdesktop and virtualbox.

    Plugging a USB mouse in works fine but the touchpad and the two buttons are just dead.

    Is this likely to be a hardware fault or a configuration issue of some kind? Any way I can diagnose the problem?

    Try Fn-F7

    I know it sounds silly, but I spend half an hour with a USB mouse in a very bad mood before I realized ....
