I stupidly and lazily tried to use the Windows XP flash tool to update from V1.13 to 3304 (not sure that was right either). Looked good for a few minutes then hung, left it with power on for over two hours, finally removed AC and battery. Now ... Total brick ... nada ... no power light.

I've removed the battery, tried all sorts of button push combos, left battery out for extended period of time.

Tried many of the methods mentioned here to get any sign of life ... nothing.

Suggestions ... or is it new Bios chip time. How do I get one?

    Regards,

3304 bios is not for the Aspire One D series, but for the Aspire One A series.
You might be lucky enough that you didnt brick the system completely, but still can perform a Crisis bios recovery with the 1.13 Bios, which is the latest for the Aspire One D150 (kav10).
