i bought a toshiba mk3008gah (30gb) but now im inteerested in change with the 60gb one (mk6008gal), are they equal? i mean that if they have the same conector and things like that, the gb different is elemental that theyre not equal.

they have different letters, that this mean anything?
    MK3008GAL
    MK6008GAH

    H or L?
    the 60gb h is 8mm instead of 5mm of the 30gb l...

did i have to cut the one to fit the 8mm? or not? i know that with a 5mm hdd i havent got to cut anything.

I seem to remember that GALs are low profile (5mm thick) and GAH are high profile (8mm thick). But they both have a ZIF/LIF connector, so they're both OK as a replacement for the internal SSD.

Note though that you'll have to trim one of the plastic posts for the GAH one to fit inside.
