Syncing laptops and phones

Smartphones and laptops can connect to share things like music and videos through USB ports, blue tooth and the like. This is very convenient even if its just to drop and drag files. It gets more powerful and effective if the devices come from the same families like Smartphone Windows 8 with Windows 8 on laptop. The same goes with other operating systems. There is better syncing between the interfaces which results in deficient transmission of data.
