    Hello,

I ran Xubuntu 8.10 for a while on my AAO and it worked fine for me. Today I decided that I want Ubuntu 8.10 with Xubuntu desktop on my AAO. I tried it first on my desktop with Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit and everything works fine, but when I installed Ubuntu on my AAO I don't have the same amount of packages in synaptic as I used to have. I can't install JRE 6 for example, which I need for Matlab. Can anyone help me please, because I can't find an answer.

    Thanks!

After I installed jre-6 from packages.ubunutu.com it's solved. Don't know why, but I'm happy with it. This topic can be removed.

Anyway, thanks for the reply, Rubberglove.
