Well I've been working through this and have come to a problem, I am a linux newbie so this comes as very difficult thing to get my head round. The computer sees the the bluetooth adapter but when I start the bluetooth adapter with /etc/init.d/bluetooth start I get the message:

touch: cannot touch 'var/lock/subsys/hcid': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch 'var/lock/subsys/bluetooth': No such file or directory

After extensive googling, I found a spanish chap that had a similar problem but fixed it as some of the files were in the wrong place or not installed. (poor translation) but all the components are there and they were added with the add/remove programs.

So I'm stumpted at what I've done wrong....please someone must know what I can do.

Thank you I have posted in the bluetooth section and am stuck and would like help
