Sound and volume...

    Is there anyway to make this Louder? I've got the volume up to max, and the volume on youtube or whatever up to max, but it still seems quiet...

    System is:
    Acer Aspire One 110-Ab

    If you are using Linux, try "alsamixer" in a terminal and set the PCM level higher.

    Tinkering with settings in the RealTek HD Sound Effect Manager may help. Also make sure the laptop isn't sitting on anything sound deadening, since the speakers are on the bottom. But your best option for loudness is a set of headphones or external speakers.

    I get no sound from the speaker jack but some sound from headset in serial jack.

    i think that the speakers definatly could have been better but they are ok just for the basic things... but when i want to watch a movie i just use an audio to audio lead and plug it into my ipod speakers
