    Hi,

Not sure if the problem im having is a hardware problem so here go's.

I have a ACER TravelMate 4050 notebook (WinXP), about 2 weeks ago I started having some strang problem with my 2 "Shift" keys, it works but it does not work properly. The left "Shift" key only works on a random set of keys (first half of keyboard) and the right "Shift" key only works with anther random set of keys (second half of keyboard) eg.

Key's that work on left "Shift"
    QWERTYUIOPGHBN

Key's that work on right "Shift"
    TYGHZXCVBNM

I resontly formated and reinstall XP and ja gues what I'm still having the same strange problem.

    PLEASE assist - Thank you

Thanks for the advise will post my problem as suggested.

Yes by using the Caps Lock to enter a capital "A", all other keys work fine I'm only having a problem with my shift keys. Here's another one, neither one of my shift keys work when trying to insert a colon :)), I have to hold in both shift keys at the same time to be able to insert a colon :))
