scroll the screen running 1024x768 res

hey guys, ive looked in the forum and found how to do this in windows but havent seen anything in mac, i have a game that runs in a window and it cuts the bottom of the window off in 1024x600 i only need to see the bottom to read the status of something, in windows i have been just setting resolution of screen to 1024x768 and scrolling but this game is mac compatible and i would like to play it in mac how do i set the screen res to that and have it scroll i tried this one program and it made the screen all dots and out of proportion.

Can you explain how? I tried to use switchresx but i couldnt get scroll down
