Screen won't turn on

    Hi
    My acer was working fine until one day I started it up and the screen wouldn't turn on. the fans turn on as if it had the intention to start up - but there is no thrashing or hard drive lights going on. the power light is on but nothing happens.
    I've tried letting the battery die and recharging and all that, but I dont know what to do. Please help!

    Does the fan sound waver as if it's trying to get up to speed? I had that problem too, mine was under warranty so it went back for a BIOS update.
