Hello all. My primary home workstation is a Windows 7 based system. I normally leave it on 24/7, but I am thinking of having it automatically power down at a given time in the evening and modifying the BIOS to boot up in the morning. However, one wrinkle is some days of the week I have scheduled processes that work overnight and, sometimes, into the morning. Examples would automatic backups to removable media, virus scans, etc.

Is there a way to schedule an automatic shutdown at, say, 10:00PM, but only have it happen if there is not a schedule task on that given day and/or there isn't a schedule task currently in process?

    Thanks for any idea.
