I understand that SATA drivers are needed when installing XP - where can I find them ?
They don't appear to be listed on the Acer site.

.depends which "one" you have :p
the a150 and all its variants have a hard drive ~( i think both the 160gb and the 120gb are a150 variants)
the a110 is a solid state drive

the only difference between the linux and xp versions on the hdd is the os, no hardware changes at all.
xp installs flawlessly on a zif interface, so i see no reason to suspect you would need drivers for it on a sata hard drive.
please point me to where it says you do need drivers...

If im not wrong, the AAO (the one with the hard drive, that is) has a SATA hard drive, but it does not need SATA drivers because the BIOS configures it as an IDE hard drive (PATA compatibility mode).
If, in the future, a firmware update will allow to set the drive to SATA then you will need the drivers in order to install the OS.

again, not 100% sure as I cant double check at the moment,
but I think all you need to download is the intel chipset drivers, the SATA driver should be in one of the folders.
