The main battery on my Acer Aspire A515 is dead, apparently from always being plugged into AC power. Removing the battery requires removing the rear panel, so I can't just plug it in when I go mobile.

The CMOS battery is also dead. I have removed it, awkwardly. Yesterday, I posted a question elsewhere on how to properly remove and replace it. No answers yet.

The question at hand: can I safely connect the Acer to AC power and go back to work without these two batteries?
