(Resolved) Aplications Gone

Hello to all.

By making an update my system crash and forced to make reebot, some of the updates damaged my system. Now do not start the KPowersave, mailbox and the reader of rss.

Who can give me a shell or the files missing?

It is that the computer is not mine and I have the CD of recovery.

If I could help would be a great help.

Hi,

If you have the recovery dvd you have to start it with an external USB dvd player connected to your Aspire One. If you don't have an external usb dvd player, you need to make a bootable usb stick on a windows (or linux) pc.

(If you do not have the dvd, you should not have been messing with (updates to) the system files since you had no option of recovery if things went wrong, especially if the computer wasn't yours.)

Oh, and in the files/drivers section KiNG posted link postings to the drivers and recovery files on file sharing sites, including the recovery stuff.
