My screen somehow got crushed and I would like to to replace it myself. Otherwise, I would have to send my entire computer off for at least two weeks to be repaired by manufacturer. The warranty would not cover it either. Can anyone give me directions?

You should be able to find a screen for your AAO on eBay for a reasonable price. But make sure you get the right one for your model.

You'll need to disassemble your machine too. Usually only a couple of screws on the screen, but you'll also have to take out the keyboard and the palm rest, it's pretty much a complete teardown. Not too difficult though. Do a quick search and you should find the information you need.

Once i've located the disassembly instructions I'll add it to the wiki.
