I have an Acer Aspire One 532 running Win 7 Starter.

Suddenly Windows Live Messenger has appeared, presumably from a recent update. Now whenever I restart the netbook Messenger nags me to log in. I don't use Messenger and never have and never want to.

I have tried removing Messenger but then whenever there is an update it gets re-installed.

I have searched the Start Menu folder but Messenger is not there, so something else must be initiating this app. whenever I reboot / restart the computer(s).

How can I get rid of this for good please?

    Many thanks - Chris Brady

P.S. I have the same problem with my laptop running XP SP3.
