Rebranding Webcam Possible?

    I've tried to do something similar with my WiFi card on OS X, but would this be possible on windows? I'm wanting to modify my webcam's device id to another type of webcam to be able to use other webcam software. I'd like to use the creative webcam software with my webcam, but it says it only works on a creative webcam. Is there any way to make it work anyway? Thanks.
