Ralink/Advantek USB Wireless working.

Just posting this, I couldn't get my AR5007 to work following the guide from insanelymac (First got kernel panic, reinstalled Mac and then I couldn't apply the Airport 2008-004 update), then I got some drivers from a guy from InsanelyMac and installed them, used them with my USB and worked like a charm. If you have any of these USB adapters let me know so I can upload the drivers for you.

 

Hello! Thanks for the info. I definitely would be interested in the USB wireless drivers for OSX. I have not purchased the USB wireless dongle yet and would simply purchase whatever was cheapest/worked best. If you could upload the drivers I would certainly appreciates it!

Hello again, folks. As per someone's suggestion above and at insanelyMac forums, I emailed Advantek and they were very helpful. It turns out the Advantek wireless USB adapter uses a RaLink chipset, and Advantek sent me the RaLink OSX drivers (have not tried them yet but others report them as working well). The links are:
