question about vista recovery dvd

    hi guys my question is
    my brother have a acer laptop that came with vista home premium he just made a set of 2 recovery dvd .

    can i use this recovery dvd to install vista in the aspire one? i have the one with 1 gb of memory and 160 hdd
    i think that maybe i could because the recovery dvd are from acer ..
