Has anyone else ran a product key finder on their aa1 150 only to find that the key listed in the registry is different to the one on the label on the underside of their machine?

    Hi Angel,

This is normal, as you may understand Acer builds thousands of these units daily, each machine is loaded with the same software image and the License provided is actually an OEM one. it isn't the same as a regular Retail copy where the registry and sticker will almost always match.

I found this to be the case with my One also. I wonder if I can reuse the "universal" key from Acer for a system install. Anyone try this?

You should be able to, if you ever get your hands on an Acer OEM copy of Windows XP. I believe the key will only work with Acer copies.
