I have been unable to get the power button working for a non-root program. So, "poweroff" works, but I can't stand the computer just shutting off without a confirmation. I want "lxde-logout" to appear instead, a non-root program that cannot be run by the root-level acpid script (/etc/acpi/handler.sh) and its configuration? files in /etc/acpi/events.

I have tried proposed work-arounds but nothing works. As I said, I can get it to poweroff, but I cannot get "lxde-logout" to run instead of a full power-off.
