    Hi guys.

Two questions in one really. I've come across a program called phatch - it appears to be a good photo/image editor and batch processor (which I do need). First question is: Has anyone experience of this program ? I can't find anything similar bundled with the A One

Second question: I downloaded the zip version (can't find an RPM thingy). After extraction - whats supposed to happen next? Should it automatically install? If it should, then it didn't!!
So, I downloaded and extracted again to my downloads - it now resides in: My Disk:///Downloads/phatch-0.1.5

Can somebody please give me the command lines to install this please? Oh, and WHERE to type them! Root?

    Cheers in advance

    Woz

the phatch website gives this info:

    Installation

    There are two methods:

    1) Install as root
Fetch the tar.gz source package from the phatch homepage. Unzip the downloaded file and install Phatch as root (!) with:

    python setup.py install
Afterwards you should be able to run phatch by typing "phatch" at the command prompt.

    2) Run as user
In case you have not root access or don't want to install, but just run Phatch, you can also extract the tar.gz source package. Afterwards you can start Phatch in trunk/phatch with:

    python phatch.py
    Windows

In both cases you must first cd in terminal to the directory where you extracted phatch.

Hey Rebuilder - thanx for that.

I haven't been able to get on to the phatch website - http://photobatch.stani.be/ - did you find an alternative

I can't get this python thing to work! Where should I be to install it?

    Cheers!

    http://photobatch.wikidot.com/

Sorry, I can't help you any more, all I know is what google and that site told me.
edit: Personally, for my photo needs I prefer google's Picasa, but then I mainly want something that is good at organizing and searching.
