I'm adding a m.2 SSD to my MSI GS75 Stealth 9SF laptop which is a PCIe Gen 3 motherboard. I'm seeing Gen 3 and Gen 4 at the same prices. Any advantage/disadvantage in the choice on this laptop?

    Hello!

There is only one disadvantage: If you use Gen-4 nvme drive on a Gen-3 slot it will work at Gen-3 speeds. If the prices of both type of drives are similar in your country, buy what suits you more.
