PC for photo editing and decent gaming?

Hi everyone,

First, many thanks to those who are running this forum, it's great to have a reliable resource online!

I've been using an HP Pavilion m6 for just over 4 years now and I'm ready to invest into a quality machine. I'm looking for a decent 15" Windows laptop with dedicated graphics that would allow the following:

-Above all, I do a lot of photo editing and will need enough processing power for a smooth experience in Adobe Lightroom.
-Ideally a 4K screen with accurate colours and good brightness/contrast.
-Must be able to run games decently well. Some titles I play are Fallout and Flight Sim. X. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I would like the PC to run smoothly at moderate or high settings. I don't need to run the games at the highest settings.
-Good battery life is a bonus but not a must.
-Price range: $1,000 to 1,500, possibly a little more for the right machine.
-SSD preferably.
