    Hi experts :)

I too have a Acer with a noisy fan ... and I mean noisy. Its quite obviously faulty its vibrating and rubbing around in its casing.

I know I can ship off to Acer to repair, but its a SSD with XP installed, 1.5Gb of ram and a Japanese import! All round I think it will be easier to swap it out myself rather than hoping acer will fix it with all the mods it has.

However, I cannot find a replacement fan for it... the model number on the fan doesn't appear to match anything of any use on google.

I'm in the UK, does anyone know where I can buy a replacement fan, and if there are non available, a similar or slightly more powerful one would be fine .. as long as its quiet that's all that matters :D

    Thanks,

I have one left that i ordered directly from the manufacturer.
I tried to get a less noisy one but it was exactly as loud as the original, so now i have one without being able to use it.
I did cost 30 $, you can get mine or order yourself one from sunon:

    http://www.sunon.com

-> Contact us -> NB fan request

Provide them this Information about the fan:

    Sunon Maglev GC054006VH-A
    B3677.13.F.GW

    K8637N CLX

Maybe it helps if you refer to my Inquiry NB20080714001

    No, Germany.
I think shipping cost would be about 2-5 Euro.
